Under the aegis of the Engineering Training and Alumni Center (ETAC) and the sponsorship of EQUATE Petrochemical Company, a delegation of KU-CEP students participated in the 16th annual GPCA forum held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. ETAC manager Dr. Duaij Alrukaibi extended his thanks to EQUATE for their considerable and distinguished record of annual support in their capacity as a major sponsor of the college. Dr. Alrukaibi further remarked that a group of high-achieving students was selected to represent Kuwait University in the GPCA Forum and that the delegation was headed by Dr. Bader Albusairi. The names of the participating students are as follows:
Sara Alajmi and Rima Almubarak – Chemical engineering department
Rima Almutairi – Civil engineering department
Hamad Almahlaki – Petroleum engineering department
His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil Dr. Bader Almulla visited the EQUATE suite at the 16th annual GPCA forum and was received by the company’s chairman of the board and CEO, where he praised EQUATE’s participation in the forum and the contributions of its representatives.
On a related note, EQUATE sponsored Kuwait University students to attend the GPCA Forum with the aim of developing the human capital necessary to further develop the future of the chemical industry and raise its horizons.
Dr. Albusairi thanked ETAC and EQUATE for providing the opportunity for Kuwait University students to participate in the GPCA Forum, a forum that has proved to be a pioneering platform for the petrochemical industry in the Arabian Gulf for the past fifteen years.
