The department of Chemical Engineering at KU-CEP held a seminar presented by Dr. Mark Holtzapple of Texas A&M University. The seminar featured a discussion on viable opportunities for development in chemical manufacturing as well as ways to preserve the environment to achieve sustainable development.

A large number of KU-CEP faculty members and students attended the seminar. Dr. Osama Alrashed, Acting Chair of the Chemical Engineering Department, extended his warmest thanks to Dr. Holtzapple at the conclusion of the seminar. He further expressed wishes for additional research in service of creating a sustainable environment in Kuwait and for conducting similar seminars in the future. Dr. Raed Bourisli , Acting Dean of the College of Engineering and Petroleum, also thanked Dr. Holtzapple for his instructive seminar and visit to Kuwait.
