This unit provides community-based consultation and development services. These services are offered either in response to a request from an external entity or through self-initiated efforts. Regarding the latter – self-initiated efforts – this involves contributing by offering engineering solutions to pressing societal issues or proposing specific initiatives and ideas within the framework of national development plans. This is achieved by leveraging the efforts and expertise of the faculty members, engineers, technicians, administrators, and workers at the College of Engineering and Petroleum, contributing to the advancement of the engineering profession in society.

The unit has completed several projects in collaboration with agencies, ministries, and companies in Kuwait, in addition to services provided to individuals, believing in the role of the office, through the unit, in serving the community.

It also coordinates the preparation of admission and qualification tests for various entities, such as recruitment tests for the oil sector and other fields.
