1- Dean’s Honor List Ceremony
The ceremony honoring students on the Dean’s Honor List and outstanding achievers at the college is considered one of the most significant student activities at Kuwait University. It is a day dedicated to celebrating their hard work and accomplishments in the presence of their parents. The ceremony is held twice a year—during the first and second semesters.
The event brings together more than 500 students, who are honored by the Dean of the College and the Heads of Academic Departments, with the attendance of the Assistant Deans and Faculty Members.
Recognition Requirements
Dean’s Honor List:
A semester GPA of 3.5 or above
Enrollment in at least 15 credit hours during the semester
Outstanding Students:
A cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above
Completion of at least 90 credit hours
This ceremony is an important occasion to celebrate distinguished students and to encourage continued academic excellence.

2- the Engineering Admission Expo
The Office of the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at the College of Engineering and Petroleum organizes the Engineering Admission Expo annually, welcoming high school students who are about to graduate.
The purpose of this annual event is to provide students with the opportunity to identify their interests and to explore the necessary information and data needed when choosing the majors they wish to pursue at the university—particularly within the College of Engineering and Petroleum.
The expo also helps students understand how these majors align with their abilities and aspirations, while offering insights into labor market needs and the admission requirements of the College of Engineering and Petroleum, based on available vacancies within its academic departments.

3– Orientation Session for New Students
The Office of the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at the College of Engineering and Petroleum organizes an orientation session for new students in organization with every department representative at the beginning of the first semester of each academic year. The goal of this session is to familiarize students with the major challenges they may face during the transition from high school to university life, and to provide them with essential information regarding university regulations, academic policies, and graduation requirements across the various academic departments.

4– Tamkeen Initiative
The “Tamkeen” Initiative was launched in the 2024–2025 academic year to serve as a platform that inspires students at the College of Engineering and Petroleum at Kuwait University toward excellence and continuous development.
The initiative bridges academic knowledge with practical experience by offering lectures and workshops aimed at building students’ skills and enabling them to face the challenges of university life and the job market with confidence and competence.
